Aisling Hurley is the Managing Director and is responsible for Business Development, new product R and D, Public Relations and strategy. Her background is in IT where she provided freelancing consultancy and training to ESB, Coillte, AIT, FAS, and many more SME’s. She was voted in and represented Kildare Macra Na Feirme as their PRO officer many years ago. She was then voted in as National Council Representative to the National Council in Macra and from there the entire Macra Council voted her in to represent that organization on the National Youth Council of Ireland. During her time on the National Youth Council she was voted onto a steering committee which was responsible for lobbying the government to change the Childrens Allowance which was abysmal 17 years ago. Since then she has continued to take an interest in social and business affairs and has donated her time and creativity to the Laois Chamber where she was elected as a board member in 2008. During the same year she was voted in as Laois Network President (a business organization for women. For a couple of years she sat on the local National School Board where she was responsible for accounts control. Her creative and strategic management of Teamwoodcraft led to her being hand picked to sit on the first ever round table for Women Entrepreneurs (sponsored by Enterprise Ireland)' "Going for Growth" in 2008. She is also a member of the International Women Entrepreneurs' Association and has been a finalist in the Network Business Woman of the Year Awards. In 2009 she won Business Person of the Year Award. She is to address the SFA Annual Conference in September 2010.

Liam Hurley is a gifted cabinet maker whose beautiful creations and skill in technicalities and Project Management has led to Teamwoodcraft securing commissions from most of Ireland's elite. His work has been admired by many people including Mr. and Mrs. George Bush Senior. He first became interested in wood as a 3 year old when he used to accompany his Dad (who was the foreman of a major timber merchant) to various joineries where he got hooked on the scent and texture of cut wood. He was Apprentice of the Year in his 4th year at college. His favourite projects include doing the joinery work on boats, traditional pub joinery and deluxe bar joinery. He takes great pride in his work and has trained many apprentices over the years, a couple of whom have won places for employment at the Teamwoodraft workshop.

Teamwoodcraft is a company that likes to give back to our community. Apart from helping out the local National School, playschool and local Laois Hunt Pony Club, Teamwoodcraft was the main organiser and sponsor for the National Network Ireland awards held in 2008 when we not only sponsored it but designed and built an entire stage (with props!) for the event. Aisling Hurley also organised an evening with the OPW in the beautiful James Gandon designed Emo Court as Teamwoodcraft wanted to show Laois (to her full advantage) to all of the business people who travelled from all corners of our Island to the event.

Although Teamwoodcraft is mainly a Business to Business model, supplying bar furniture, hotel furniture and commercial furniture, we do also take private commissions and these include spectacular wooden staircase construction, wall panelling and library projects. The list is endless and your imagination is the only limitation when we work with you on a project. We enjoy seeing the expression on client's faces when their bespoke furniture piece arrives in situ. We take great care with our finishes. Our favourite part of each project is seeing the client's reaction when they see the finished project for the first time.

Teamwoodcraft is a very innovative company and each year we launch a new product to our range. Last year we introduced the loose furniture line and the childrens furniture line. Both Liam and Aisling particularly enjoy working on quirky items of which our children's furniture is a prime example. We are currently working on developing a new childrens line, which will be both fun and eco friendly. So watch this space!

Other unusual projects include furniture incorporated into garden design. This is an exciting area for us as it can be difficult, with our weather, to incorporate wood into Irish gardens. The choice of woods and finishes is vital for a long lasting effect. It's a challenging area, but as we like incorporating wood and other materials, garden design has become a great outlet for the more unique designs.

One of the things we are best known for is our deluxe bar joinery. Over the years we have built up vast experience in the field and our bar joinery skills are second to none. And our previous projects are a testament to this.

We also enjoy doing themed projects, which brings out our fun side. An example of themes is Little Acorns, one of our shops, where the interior is designed to replicate a Victorian Emporium. Other examples of projects are themed flower shops, themed bar interiors (which also incorporates our deluxe bar joinery) and even themed restaurant furniture. Of course we can create any home interior you could wish for, whether it's a minimalist design or a gothic church style. Whatever that takes your fancy. We have fitted libraries, home studies, wall paneling and home bars etc.

Although we are known for our larger works and ornate reception desks, projects do not have to be large. We have completed small bedroom furniture projects, bathroom statement pieces and kitchen island statement pieces. We can also redo sections of your home / commercial interior including, door frames, wooden architraves or home office furniture. It can even be something like the fact that some people just like us to help hide their suitcases by creating a more ornate storage space for them! We have put so much effort into our customer service that we now have a client base all over Ireland, Europe, United States and even Africa; so distance is not an issue for our teams.

If you need help with your interior design, we can introduce you to one of our many expert designers who will help you come up with a solution to suit your project, budget and timescale. If you are a designer we have many years experience in the field and have never missed a deadline or gone over budget in all that time. We have done, hotels, bars, offices, café furniture, tearoom furniture, nightclubs, casinos, the list is endless. We assign a project manager to each job so you get the best, most efficient, product excellence and the friendliest service.

So you see it really doesn't matter what you want to do, we have the team and knowledge for you.

History

Teamwoodcraft was established in 1994 by Liam & Aisling Hurley who saw a gap in the market for top quality craftsmanship at a fair price. The company has grown aggressively and now caters for clients within Ireland, around Europe and the United States of America. Teamwoodcraft give complete attention to all their clients and we assign a project manager to each project. It is this attention to detail and client satisfaction that has allowed Teamwoodcraft to continue to expand its market share progressively.

Teamwoodcraft has been featured in several publications and has won an award every year since 2004 including Enterprise Awards, Chamber Awards, Business Awards, etc. Many of our clients have also won awards for projects we have completed for them.
